After the end of commercial mining in 1990 the mine was turned into a visitor centre, in which you can experience gallery ore
mining typical for the Erzgebirge ("Ore Mountains").
Wearing a safety helmet, mining lamp, overall and rubber boots, an elevator will take you into a depth of 100 metres. You will
experience mining methods through the ages, see and hear pneumatically driven mining equipment or try the work by yourself with
a chisel and a hammer.
We offer:
- an exhibition of over 1 000 minerals in our collection of mineral deposits
- medicinal galleries for diseases of the upper respiratory tract
